Welcome back to campus for the spring semester! As we reach the midpoint of the year, we encourage you and your organization to make the most of your SUFAC seg fee allocations to benefit the UWS student body.
Important Reminders and Tips
Review Your Approved SUFAC Budget
Take a moment to review your approved SUFAC budget for FY26. If you need a copy, email sufac.chair@uwsuper.edu.
Check Your Balances in 'Jackets Connect
View your organization's budget and expenses by selecting your group under "Groups" at the top of 'Jackets Connect, clicking "Money" on the left-hand side, and choosing "Accounting Book."
Start Spending Your Funds
Unspent SUFAC funds will be swept at the end of the year (June 30) and will not carry over. Only fundraised money (Group Funds in 'Jackets Connect) carries over. Plan events and initiatives now!
Request Purchases in 'Jackets Connect
a. Select your organization under "Groups."
b. Click "Money" on the left-hand side.
c. Choose "Accounting Book."
d. Scroll down and click "Payment/Budget Request" to fill out the form. All purchases must be pre-approved by your advisor and will be processed by Student Involvement.
Make Travel Requests in 'Jackets Connect
Use the "Travel Request (Student Organizations)" form in the Forms section. Your advisor must also approve travel requests. Student Involvement can assist with registration, transportation, lodging, and cash advances.
Budget Reallocations
If your organization wants to do something different than what was initially budgeted for, you can reallocate funds.
If budgets stay in the same category (e.g., bingo instead of karaoke), no action is needed.
To move funds between categories (e.g., $500 from On-Campus: bingo to Travel: conference), submit a "Reallocation Request" form. This process can take several weeks as committees meet biweekly.
Training & Resources
Refer to the Canvas training course for guidance on campus policies and procedures. All officers must complete this course. Let us know if new officers need access.
Budget Planning for Next Fiscal Year
Watch for emails from SUFAC (sufac.chair@uwsuper.edu) about inventory submission, budget workshops, and proposal deadlines.
SUFAC Office Hours
SUFAC Committee members will hold at least six office hours weekly in the SGA office (YU 156) to answer any questions. The schedule will be posted on the office door.
