This organization is a part of the national organization, the American Choral Directors Association. We work to promote choral music and foster an interest throughout the Twin Ports, Northwest Wisconsin, and Northeast Minnesota. We collaborate with local choral directors of all grades as well as various professional choral groups in the area. Members are NOT required to be pursuing a career in Music Education or in Choral Conducting, but love and interest for the choral arts is a must!

Amnesty International is a non-governmental organization focused on human rights. As a student group on campus, we strive to bring awareness to the campus community through tabling, petitions, fundraising, community events, and conferences.

"Our vision is of a world in which every person - regardless of race, religion, ethnicity, sexual orientation or gender identity - enjoys all of the human rights enshrined in the Universal Declaration of Human Rights (UDHR) and other internationally recognized human rights standards."

Amnesty International members are encouraged to participate in the Midwest Amnesty International Meeting (location varies from year to year), which is a 4-day meeting designed to teach our members about human rights issues and advocacy. In addition, our students sponsor events such as the Refugee Project, 15 Days of Activism, and Human Rights Day.

Our mission is to proclaim the Gospel of Jesus Christ, and to make Him known to every soul at the University of Wisconsin-Superior. To this end, we strive to build a community centered around authentic friendship, prayer, the sacraments, and growing deeper in our understanding and knowledge of the Faith. Daily Mass is offered on campus at noon on Wednesdays in room 1012 in the Swenson Hall. In addition, we offer weekly women’s Bible studies, host guest speakers and swing dances, and give students the opportunity to travel to the Fellowship of Catholic University Students’ annual Seek conference. The mission of the SBE Event Planning Committee is to focus on getting students involved as well as teaching them valuable skills by organizing and planning events related to the School of Business and Economics. Students who are not SBE majors are also welcome to join us.

We annually host the SBE Faculty Sponsored Bowling League early in the spring and the SBE Awards Banquet near the end of the spring semester. This year we plan to organize a black light/glow-in-the-dark DJ Night and a Futsal/Volleyball League.

The Sustainability Club is a student organization dedicated to making the University of Wisconsin-Superior more sustainable by working with, and educating, students, administrators, faculty, and community members. The organization was founded in 2019 and has since grown in size.

The Sustainability Club works together with Chartwells to implement the OZZI O2GO program on campus. It aims to reduce the number of single-use plastics used at UWS by introducing an alternative, less negatively impactful, plastic container called O2GO.

The Sustainability Club runs a completely free store open for all members of the community. It operates on secondhand items donated by people who no longer find it use, so other people can take them instead. The whole idea is to reduce the amount of items we need to buy, in order to reduce our impact on the environment. The Free Store is located in Old Main 131 and hours are yet to be set.

This organization helps new and old skaters of all abilities practice their skills on the ice and provide the opportunity for skaters to grow and learn.

Marksmanship Club participants will learn above all about SAFE shooting and use of a rifle and are required to demonstrate safe and responsible firearms handling. Shooters will be instructed in firearms mechanics, the basics of rifle shooting, and will have the opportunity to compete in Local, State, and National competitions. Shooters will be instructed and supervised by USA Shooting - Certified coaches with several years of shooting and coaching experience in the shooting sports.

The UWS Marksmanship Club members begin practices each year starting in the fall and shoot and train as a team generally through May. Shooters are instructed and train in smallbore (.22) target rifle shooting, and specifically Olympic-style 3- and 4- position shooting, including rifle shooting basics, fundamentals of shooting positions, and mental training techniques. Shooters are also trained in official courses of fire used in competition, tournament policies and procedures, tournament etiquette and sportsmanship. All equipment is provided.

The goal of the program is to give shooter the opportunity to take part and compete in local, State and National competitions, and at the same time be considered by others in the sport as a "Complete Competitor". Skills and mindset developed during time with the Rifle Team will be an asset to these athletes in their personal and professional lives as adults as well as providing a strong basis for life-long participating in shooting sports.

Young Americans for Freedom at UW-Superior is committed to the advancement of conservative thought on our college campus. We believe that the freedom of speech is one of our most important rights, and that a free and civil exchange of ideas is essential to preserving a flourishing intellectual community at UWS. As conservatives, we work to promote the principles of limited government, individual freedom, free enterprise, a strong national defense, and traditional ideas regarding life, gender, and marriage. An active student organization, we have hosted nationally-acclaimed speakers including Matt Walsh and Michael Knowles, sent members to the National Conservative Student Conference in Washington D.C., and participated in nation-wide activism efforts such as the 9/11 Never Forget Project.

The University of Wisconsin-Superior Chapter of Young Americans for Freedom is affiliated with Young America’s Foundation. Founded in 1960, the Foundation is now the principal outreach organization of the conservative movement. In the words of President Ronald Reagan, “Young America’s Foundation has been a refuge for students seeking an alternative to the politically correct environment enforced on many campuses…Your work is vital to the future of the nation.”

Young Americans for Freedom at UW-Superior exists to educate those at UWS about conservative ideals, as well as unify the many students that already espouse those beliefs.
