First_Name,

Annual Student Organization Re-Recognition

Please be patient as we set up the annual re-recognition process this fall. We're currently preparing the forms on our new 'Jackets Connect platform and updating the Student Organization Officer Training in Canvas. We aim to have everything ready by early next week. You'll have until Friday, September 27 to finish the re-recognition process.

In the meantime, ensure that four members join your organization on 'Jackets Connect and your advisor completes the Advisor Agreement form online.

📣 Attention all student organizations! Remember to complete the annual recognition process by the deadline to keep your status active. Late or incomplete applications may lead to a budget cut from SUFAC.

Recognition Deadline: Friday, September 27, at 4:30 p.m.

If you're having trouble with the online platforms, please contact Student Involvement at involvement@uwsuper.edu.

For questions about the recognition process or requirements, consider attending one of our optional hybrid workshops. Details below.

To complete the organization recognition process, follow these steps:

1. Complete the Re-Recognition Form on 'Jackets Connect

  • This form will be available by early next week. Log in using your UWS credentials to access the form. In this form, you will need to update your organization's information including meeting time/location, contact information, and constitution (review, sign, and date every two years). You will also need to acknowledge and sign off on the minimum organization requirements.
2. Ensure your membership list has an advisor and at least four student members.

3. Complete the "Advisor Agreement" form.
  • Advisors should log into 'Jackets Connect, click on "Forms," and select the "Advisor Agreement."
4. Finish the "Student Organization Leadership Training 2024-2025" on Learn@UW-Superior (Canvas).
  • This training will be available by early next week. The training is mandatory for ALL officers. It takes about an hour and can be done in sections. It's also available for advisors.
  • Alternatively, attend the in-person training session on Tuesday, September 24 from 4:00-6:00 p.m. in YU 203 for a workshop experience.
After completing all these, your application will be reviewed for approval.

Remember, our team is here to support you. Feel free to email us anytime!

Student Organization Purchases

We're setting up a new purchasing system in 'Jackets Connect and we can't wait for you to track your organization's spending and expenses easily.

In the meantime, if you need to buy anything, just send an email with all the details to Student Involvement at involvement@uwsuper.edu. Don't forget to include your advisor in the email so they can give the green light. We need their okay before we can go ahead with any purchases.

We're working hard to get the new purchasing forms ready in the next few weeks. Thanks for hanging in there!
